Have you watched the viral serial Netflix titled Queens Gambit lately? It's interesting from many perspectives that we can learn. We already knew that in every sad story, there is a happy phase, and vice versa. Beth as the main character is an orphan at nine years old without know what was happened to her life. She actually doesn't know where her dad is after her mother leaves her alone in a car accident. Her life change after that tragedy.

In this article, I won't tell you about the story. You all can watch the whole movie and learn from it. Now, I want to describe what I have learned from my perspective. There could be a different perspective, and that is normal. We can learn from many different perspectives, so we have much moral value to learn.

So, here we go..

1. As a woman, we can be independent

Yeah, we can learn from Beth's character in this movie. After the car accident and become an orphan, Beth grow into an independent girl with her passion for chess that she learned from Mr. Shaibel and become a professional player since that day. Even tho we are a woman, it doesn't mean we can't be an independent. We can survive and do our own things like men. So, we can learn that women also can be independent. Just choose your way wisely.

2. Confidence

From that movie, we can learn how Beth carried herself and be confident. She already knew about her interest and she learned a lot and we also should learn to be confident. We can start to understand our interests, our strengths, our weaknesses, and ourselves, study and learn about our-whole-selves, and then our confidence will be improved.

3. Talk a little, learn a lot

As a child, Beth was curious about her interest in chess. So, she has read many books about chess and often secretly went to the basement to play chess with Mr. Shaibel. She doesn't talk a lot, she was often alone and chose to read a book. After we understand what we actually interested in, we should learn more to train our skills. No matter how slowly we are to learn, as long as we don't stop, we'll be master of it.

4. Everyone has their dark side

In the movie, we know that Beth was addicted to drugs and alcohol. But she tried to stop the addict and start to live normally and she can be free from her addiction. So it is with us, we also can change our habits to be better, and from that better habits, we can also be a better person and a better version of ourselves.

5. It's okay not to be okay

When we are not feeling okay, it's okay to take a step back. Don't afraid to be losers or fail, because we are more matter and more important than anything. We should take care of ourselves first before facing the reality. So, we should be aware of the sign that our body or ourselves is starting to be unwell and start to cure ourselves first.

6. As long as you don't stop

In every problem, there is a solution and in every hardship, there is a convenience, as long as we are don't give up and don't stop trying to solve it. When we are not feeling okay, take a step back for a while, do self-care, and then moving forward to facing the world again. Something bigger and better will come over you anytime.

And that's what we can learn from that movie, you should watch by yourself to understand the whole story and got the moral value from it. You can have much different value from it depends on your background and experiences. See you in the next article and love yourself!
